Smiley Children Society Expands Its Vision of Inclusive Education Through Sustainable Community Initiatives
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Creating equal educational opportunities for every child requires long-term commitment, community participation, and a shared vision for social progress. Guided by these principles, Smiley Children Society has continued to strengthen its educational initiatives across Andhra Pradesh since its establishment on January 19, 2019.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization has steadily grown into a respected community-based social organization with its headquarters in Mandapeta and branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through the dedication of its volunteers, Smiley Children Society has been working to remove educational barriers faced by children from economically weaker families.
Among its flagship initiatives is helping children gain admission to government schools. Volunteers conduct door-to-door awareness campaigns, identify children who have not yet enrolled in school, guide parents through admission procedures, and coordinate with school administrators to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
These efforts have been recognized by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who appreciated the organization’s contribution to improving educational access and commended Founder Prudhvi Moses for his continued dedication to serving children through education.
“Our mission is to make education accessible for every child. We believe that no child’s future should be limited by poverty or lack of guidance. Every successful school admission represents a new beginning and a step toward building stronger communities,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To ensure that students continue to perform well after enrollment, Smiley Children Society operates free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. These classes provide additional academic support, helping children strengthen their understanding of subjects, complete assignments, and prepare effectively for examinations.
The organization also provides free dinner to students attending the tuition sessions. This initiative reflects Smiley Children Society’s holistic approach to child development by addressing both educational and nutritional needs, allowing children to learn in a healthier and more supportive environment.
Beyond direct academic assistance, the organization advocates for improving the quality of early childhood education. Speaking at educational programs, including events at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centres and schools to adopt activity-based teaching methods, storytelling, educational games, and interactive classroom practices that make learning more engaging for young children.
To support these efforts, Smiley Children Society regularly donates educational equipment, teaching aids, and classroom learning materials to schools that embrace innovative teaching practices. The organization believes that empowering teachers with better resources ultimately benefits every student.
Looking ahead, Smiley Children Society plans to expand its volunteer network, collaborate with more educational institutions, and introduce additional child-focused programs across Andhra Pradesh. By combining education, nutrition, innovation, and community service, the organization continues to build a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, succeed, and contribute positively to society.
